The tertiary week of English

Just a quick note to say I’m going to be giving a webinar called ‘Mixing business with pleasure’  this Tuesday – 22nd February 2011. It’s part of the Longman Pearson Tertiary Week of English and it’s free to register. You just need an internet connection to  join in, there’s no limit to how many people Longman can accommodate in the virtual meeting room, and everybody is welcome. I’ll be talking about politeness and workplace discourse and showing some stuff from Lifestyle.

If you are in the UK, it’s at 1pm and you can check your local time here. If you are in Japan it’ll be 10pm, so I will understand if you’d like to attend in your pyjamas. I promise I won’t tell. I will be in Philly, where if you look very carefully you may notice me munching breakfast cereal and swigging coffee. But I plan to get up very early on Tuesday so I should be out of my jim-jams.
